Fifth Season Landscapes - Silver Award
Residential Landscape Design more than 150m2
Design Brief:
The brief for this project identified a need for an outdoor space that provided both security and privacy for a young family. The design of the pool surrounds and garden was carefully considered to improve the functionality of the exterior spaces.
The existing pool area was dilapidated, unsafe and unused. Contributing to the privacy issue was a three-storey unit block to the rear of the property peering directly into the pool area, living room and kitchen. The rear garden was plagued by drainage issues resulting in regular flooding.
In addition to having these problems addressed the client wanted improved usability of the side passage and economical improvements to the overall appearance of the front of the house with an off-street car parking space.
