Design Brief:
The brief was for a landscape and garden design for all areas of the property outside of the house walls.
Requirements:
- Complement and harmonise with the house's architectural style while softening and supporting the overall property presentation
- Material theme to support house material and comprise of a moody ,modern material palette
- Make the best use of available space and include different user zones and a small lawn area for the dog
- Include a custom designed plunge pool as critical garden functional focal element – design to accommodate family time in pool
- Utilise shapes as a element to the design and as a reoccurring theme
- Address existing front water tank
- Carefully consider views and vistas from house and user living spaces
- Provide interest through the detail of the construction and a unique well thought out planting design
- Design theming to be unique and personalised and to create a one of a kind garden i.e create a point of difference property within the local area
- An interesting planting design that brings softness and balance to the overall property
- Create more privacy but maintain good vistas and atmosphere provided by rear skyline
- A layered contrast of plants utilising interesting plant selection combinations to promote texture and contrast for a visually stunning garden
- An escape from working life- a setting for family use and entertaining
- Garden design to act as a visual stimulus from inside the house
- Include built in bbq design
- Carefully consider visual presentation of the gardens from within the house
- Screening and privacy from neighbouring houses
- Well balanced and functional outdoor garden spaces maximising aesthetics and usability
