Design Brief:
The client brief was as follows:
- A landscape design to complement and harmonize with the house's architectural style while softening and supporting the overall property presentation
- Make best use of available space and include different user zones and a small lawn area for the dog
- Include a custom designed plunge pool
- Utilize shapes as an element to the design and as a reoccurring theme
- Carefully consider views and vistas from the house and user living spaces
- Provide interest through the detail of the construction and planting design
- Be unique and personalised and create a one of a kind garden within the local area
- Plants to include an eclectic blend of supportive species for a visually interesting planting design that brings softness and balance to the property
- Create more privacy but maintain good vistas and atmosphere provided by rear skyline
- A layered contrast of plants utilizing interesting plant selection combinations to promote texture and contrast for a visually stunning garden
- Promote an escape from working life- a setting for family use and entertaining
- Include built in bbq design
- Achieve well balanced and functional outdoor garden spaces while maximising aesthetics and usability
- Include relevant focal points of interest as opportunistic – pool as the centerpiece of the design and to include a water feature element
- Allow for site amenities – pool equipment, clothesline etc. but minimize the effect of these
