Commercial Open Space Design

Design Brief:

Ecco Ripley is a master planned estate in Ipswich QLD. Pebbles Park is a 0.7ha recreational park for the neighbourhood.

All open spaces planned had to consider the Ecco development principles including environment, community, connectivity and opportunity (ECCO).

Detailed requirements included:
 Provide the first dog park for community ;
 Clear pedestrian thoroughfares which double as both connectivity through the site and exercise/ fitness tracks;
 Exciting, all-age and ability playgrounds;
 Community health and activity to be paramount in park design and outcomes including informal fields,
sporting equipment, courts and informal running circuit;
 Utilise sustainable approaches where possible including energy efficient lighting, solar reuse, species, etc.;
 Balance adjacent rehabilitation areas into the park in a cohesive and safe manner.
