LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT - ENVIRONMENTAL & AMENITY HORTICULTURE
Design Brief:
Built in 1885, historic Bronte House is among the oldest buildings in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. Bronte House is sited in Bronte gully and faces the Pacific Ocean the estate spans over 2 acres.
The house and its garden have great significance to not only the people who have created it but also to the public who visit it. It is widely regarded by professionals, connoisseurs and members of the public as one of the finest gardens in Sydney.
The garden was suffering from multiple weeds, pests, disease and poor soil quality. The lawns were patchy and the irrigation was in need of repair.
A Bronte House Garden, Maintenance Plan was required to ensure that the garden was repaired and presents in the best possible condition at all times, for the benefit of the community and current tenants.
The community will have regular access to the garden with the garden being open to the public on a minimum of six occasions each year.
