Quercus Gardens - silver Award
Residential Landscape Design 50m2 - 150m2
Design Brief:
The brief was to bring to life an undeveloped part of the garden that the client’s house backed onto. Water, a pool or tub to cool off in and shade from the sun that heats this space year around were requested.
The garden was to be relatively low maintenance while adding a gentle elegance.
The new deck is warm and soft underfoot and the barrel like tub blends perfectly well with its timber surrounds. The recycled brick retaining walls, while being sustainable, give the new garden a sense of maturity.
The natural fall of the land has been used to create a series of terraces with different functional areas providing the relatively small space with a sense of mystery.
Elegant spot lighting among the planting and festoon lights create atmosphere and strip lighting beneath the seating adds a contemporary touch.
