Landscape Design - Residential Design Less Than 50m2

Design Brief:

The owners of this inner-city garden wanted a garden that would give them a place to rest, entertain friends and family, be a good place for children and provide garden bedding (herbs and vegetables) for the wife’s cooking and therapy work.
 
The garden needed to provide a beautiful outlook from the main living area while also extending the living space. Every space needed to be multi-function and give the garden a sense of depth and dimension. 

Everything in the garden had to be designed to be easily dismantled if, at sale, new owners wanted to return the garden into parking space.The timber day bed and corten steel raised garden beds can all be removed if a new owner wishes to return the garden to a car parking spot.

A new deck and a covering pergola extend the inside space to outside, provide places for easy baby play, drying racks, and extra seating.  The festoon lighting gives the garden a feeling of fun and lightness. 

The materials of limestone, corten steel and timber, and the unstructured planting, ground and earth the garden.
