Residential Landscape Design more than 150m2

Design Brief:

The wish of the client was a garden with many uses including a haven for relaxation after a
stressful day at work. A design that was fully respectful of the land and its environment. 

Creating a safe way of getting into this sloped parcel was important. A platform was installed
offering the ability to connect to a lower elevated deck for sitting and overlooking the garden below.

From this platform a board walk,bridge arrangement flowed still controlled by the land. A water course was woven in and around the garden’s natural structures. The elevated boardwalk weaves through the garden in the longest path lines possible giving true sensuousness to the land.

The key to the design was to make a garden that was sympathetic to the land and its naturals
forms, allowing the land's topography to dictate terms, placement of walkways, water courses and shade structure.
