Landscape Design - Micro Scale Design

Design Brief:

The client’s brief was for an outdoor kitchen that would include a BBQ, a large GreenEgg, storage space and fridge as well as a built-in large fire-pit, built-in seating and loose seating that would cater for 12 people with planting to give them a private and secluded feeling.

The design had to incorporate rustic elements such as sandstone stone, Corten steel, a gabion wall and timber as well as lush, tropical planting, relaxed costal elements and a colour palette of light/dark greys, whites and sage green.

Judges’ Comments:

Claudia’s design delivered a contemporary, private and inviting social space suitable for night-time or day-time entertaining with the variety of finishes creating a harmonious appeal.
