Project: Cascade Garden

• Silver Award - Residential Design (Mid Scale)

Design Brief:

The brief was to create a lovely garden to enjoy and ease the journey from the house to the street with much to enjoy on the way. The garden was to become an active living space with stairs and a strong, interesting entrance.

The stair ways were to be easy and comfortable to navigate. The garden was to be a beautiful and interesting ‘artwork’ to look down into from the main deck of house above, incorporating existing sandstone and include a water feature. The clients requested that there be no lawn.

Judges’ Comments:
Judges thought the designer gave the site an interesting and unique
treatment creating an active living space to be enjoyed both day and night.
