‘Landscape Design Master’ Award presented to Paul Bangay OAM at the LDI National Landscape Design Awards
(SYDNEY) Renowned landscape designer and architect Paul Bangay has been honoured with the prestigious inaugural ‘Landscape Design Master' Award from the Landscape Design Institute (LDI), recognising his exceptional achievements and contributions to the field of landscape design over the span of his illustrious career.
Bangay was presented with the award at the Landscape Design Institute's National Awards event ‘Journeys into Design’, at 12-Micron, Barangaroo on the afternoon of 22 February 2024. He was the special guest speaker at the event and interviewed about his Life in Garden Design by Fleur Flanery, Bangay, renowned globally for his exquisite gardens and influential designs, has left an indelible mark on the landscape design industry through his innovative approach and unparalleled creativity.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Bangay's work can be found throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe and North America. Bangay's portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, from sprawling country estates to contemporary urban gardens, each instilled with his signature style characterised by clean lines, harmonious proportions, and a sophisticated interplay of form and function. His mastery of plant selection, spatial arrangement, and architectural elements has earned him a reputation as one of the foremost landscape designers of his generation.

The Landscape Design Master Award from the Landscape Design Institute is the latest in a long list of accolades for Bangay, including the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).
