Design Brief:
The clients viewed their garden from the kitchen inside so it was important the new garden was a relaxing, inviting and beautiful space to look out onto. There were four existing levels of garden - all of which were open and did not have focal points, interesting planting or privacy.
They wanted planting that could screen the neighbours, that was less 'liner' and had more texture and a lush aesthetic. They also wanted to include some colour in the planting with a preference for a mix of greens and greys in the foliage. The planting layout was to create a journey through the garden and include some spaces for sitting, playing basketball and for a feature such as a bowl of water.
