Residential Landscape Design Less than 50m2

Design Brief:

The clients wanted the transformation of a cluttered, underused and tired courtyard into a relaxed outdoor lounge. With improved access from the home, a flexible roof cover, a special focal point (to take the emphasis away from the neighbours roof) and an overall visual impression that would become a permanent invitation to use the once never used courtyard.

The client had purchased antique doors and it was a must that they be used somehow. The client had her own decorating style and was keen to incorporate her style through her collected treasures. Furthermore, the sideway was an entrance that most of her friends used over and above the front door so this space needed to be made into something special as well, again taking the emphasis away from the neighbour's roof.
