Landscape Design - Commercial Open Space 

Design Brief:

Create a multipurpose space in an open area bordered by existing school buildings and a new administration building overlooking the space.

Functioning as a gathering space catering for small and large groups of up to 110 students while incorporating smaller ‘breakout‘ spaces and outdoor learning environments within the design.

Students and staff would traverse this central space connecting several buildings together, therefore requiring it to be robust and easily navigated to facilitate daily foot traffic. The design would need to provide a 'softness' to the surrounding built environment whilst being easily maintained, as well as screen utilities areas and the adjacent girls school.
