Landscape Design - Rooftop

Design Brief:

The clients had a majestic, heritage 2 storey house on a 551sqm corner block in Paddington with an outdoor area of 320sqm. 
They were excavating the rear of their property to provide underground garaging for 3 cars, with rear lane access. An architect had designed the underground garaging and a new in-ground swimming pool. 

They needed to reinstate a full garden on the roof of the built structure.  The clients wanted an established garden where they could display their collection of outdoor sculptures, an outdoor entertaining area with bbq, open lawn area, flowers, trees and a garden with plant interest but not too fussy.   As they were elevated from the street and opposite a park they wanted  privacy for the pool and garden areas. 

They also required a utility area for air conditioning outlets, gas and electrical meters with easy access to the street for tradespeople and wheelie bins. They wanted a contemporary garden sympathetic to the style of the house.
