Plantscape Design 

Design Brief:

The brief was for a design that pays homage to the area in which the garden sits. A spiritual connection to the new garden was evident at the first meeting and Alison used the knowledge of this to create spaces with meaning for the family.

Some of the clients’ late Mother’s Plants were to be incorporated into the design. Special places to sit and gather as a family and with friends were desired as well as spaces where peace, quiet and calm could be enjoyed.

The clients desired a garden that was timeless, easy to maintain, casual, coastal, that fitted in well in the Mount Eliza Woodland area ‘Where the Bushland and Homes Meet’ on the Coast.

Judges’ Comments:

Excellent presentation of plant choices for the woodland garden the client was seeking. The Quiet Courtyard is particularly lovely and a pleasing contrast to the more densely planted areas.
