Residential Landscape Design more than 150m2

Design Brief:

The clients, a professional couple and their three young children, were looking to create

an outdoor space that would make the most of Sydney’s premium weather. The resolved garden was to take advantage of the property’s north facing aspect while framing, softening and enhancing their architecturally designed home.

An entertainer’s garden, it should also be dynamic and engaging, embracing the open plan nature of the large indoor / outdoor entertaining area.

Judges’ Comments:

The garden is rich in texture with its lush planting and displays a good appreciation of proportion and the use of contemporary materials. A great sense of entry was created by the mature Pandanus. Using planting as well as rock layered interest into the design. The exterior façade of the home became part of the landscape design. The outcome is simply stunning.
