Design Brief:

The client’s brief was for a more usable outdoor space. An overall contemporary fresh look with timeless elements. A Pool house with a bathroom that can be used in many ways, during the day, at night, for an overnight stay, and as a chill out zone but not too large taking over the whole backyard.

The client’s liked to entertain and have a large family, an undercover dining space with cooking facility was also an important element for the design to be considered.
 

Judges’ Comments:

The design has given increased functionality to the space. It stands out in environmental impact terms by reusing existing elements found onsite to make them new.
