Design Brief:

The brief was for a harmonious design with respect to the period of the existing property and the modern extension bringing balance with a seasonally intriguing garden that promotes a soft rambling aesthetic utilising texture, form and colour.

The design was to carefully consider garden orientations and maximise vistas and opportunities, explore fitting textures and finishes and cohesive exterior treatments.

A new rear covered entertaining space, finishing of a pergola structure and new pool were required. The design was to carefully consider all screening requirements and address these to promote a private garden with pleasant outlooks.

Judges’ Comments:

Judges commented that there was a good balance of lawn size and garden beds with interesting plant selections creating good visual appeal.
