Design Brief:

The clients had a passion for growing their own produce and connecting with nature, as well as having fun in the garden. The brief was for a garden that would encourage a life outside for the complete family. It needed to be a space to come together as a family, whilst still having activity zones, including a trampoline for the kids. In a reasonably small space, they needed a lawn for sport, space in the right micro-climate for production, a pizza oven and fireplace. The garden needed to feel earthy and tactile, welcoming and versatile all year round.

Judges’ Comments:
Judges thought the design met the clients brief for a fun-filled family garden. The concealed trampoline and use of raised planters radiating from a central lawn were clever ploys.
