Application Process
Step 2
Choose the type of Membership that suits your needs.
Step 3
Fill in the online application questions. If you are applying for professional membership you will need to attach copies of your qualifications and upload copies of the documents for 3 landscape projects prepared by you.
Please refer to the 'Assessment Criteria' page for guidance on what documents you need to submit and how they will be assessed.
Step 4
Once you've submitted this form, pay your Application Fee online.
Step 5
We will let you know the outcome once the Membership Committee from the LDI National Council has assessed your application.
Please note: LDI retains the right to accept or reject an application. An applicant may be advised that a different category of membership is appropriate for their level of skill or experience. Please allow up to 4 weeks for assessment, and we will let you know if we need any additional documentation to support your application we will contact you. Upon successful application, you will be invoiced for your annual membership. All new members will pay the Annual Membership Fee on a pro-rata basis from your date of acceptance.
Upgrade Your Student Membership
You will automatically transition from Student Member to our Member category on 1 July in the year following your graduation. Upon completion of your course you can apply for earlier membership in a higher category by submitting an application which meets the requirements of the category for which you seek membership. Your upgrade will then take effect as soon as your application is approved.

Lapsed Membership
If your membership has lapsed for 2 years or more please submit a new member application form. You do not need your membership number as this will be on LDI’s records.
